WELCOME to EEEDS

What is EEEDS ? – EUROPEAN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS DIRECTIVES SHOW.

EEEDS is in the early stage of its planning. The concept is to have an event/show which is a combination of

The topic for EEEDS, as its name suggests, is the European Directives that can apply to the Electrical or Electronics Industry. These include:

  • EMCD – Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
  • Automotive EMC Directive
  • RED – Radio Equipment Directive)
  • ATEX – Explosive Atmosphere Directives.
  • MDR – Medical Devices Regulation
  • BATTERIES Directive
  • ROHS – Restriction of Hazardous Substances
  • LVD – Low Voltage Directive
  • Machinery Directive
  • MED – Marine Equipment Directive.
  • IVDR – In-Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Directive
  • ECODESIGN Directive
  • GPSD – General Product Safety Directive
  • WEEE – Waste electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive

If you have an interest in exhibiting, presenting a paper or giving a workshop; or you simply want to be kept in the loop, please send your name and email address to info@product-compliance.eu.

In the meantime, if you have any interest in Product Compliance our sister site, emc-reources.co.uk should be worth a visit.

Our objective at EMC Resources is to give Electrical and Electronic Engineers ( particularly those whose speciality is NOT EMC ) completely free access to an all-inclusive range of EMC related information.

There are four main sections to the site as follows:

EMC TEST HOUSE DIRECTORY

With over 350 EMC Test Houses on seven regional lists, you are bound to be able to find the right facility for you. You can, of course, browse through the lists by clicking here; but we would strongly recommend using the site SEARCH page to find exactly what you need.

EMC LIBRARY

We currently have nearly 70 books in the Library covering a range of topics including: EMC ( both Generic and Applications ), ESD, SHIELDING & CHAMBERS, ELECTROMAGNETICS, LIGHTNING and other books of interest.

EMC TRAINING COURSES

Here you will find a selection of open-registration EMC Training Courses chosen for their content and caliber; plus some of the best EMC Training Course providers.

EMC TEST HOUSE DIRECTORY

First we have the EMC Test House Directory which consists of several regionally based lists of Test Houses. These comprehensive lists contain nearly 350 EMC Test Houses between them, and includes their addresses and contact details. If you are looking for a particular Test House you can ,of course, simply browse through the lists. (Might take you a little while!)
Therefore we would strongly recommend that you use the site SEARCH facility.

EMC TRAINING COURSES

The worldwide EMC Training course scene is very complex. Given that EMC Training courses can be given to the public or in private; on or off-line, tailored or in-house, basic or advanced, and over a broad range of topics; also given that times change around the world, venues change and prices vary enormously, it is simply impossible for a single website to list all relevant courses.

We are therefore publishing a list of carefully Selected Training Courses, followed by a section dedicated to Private In-House Training Courses. The penultimate section is a list of Training Course Providers, with finally a section on other Courses of Interest

EMC LIBRARY

With nearly 70 books, The EMC Library contains a compendium of EMC, ESD, RF & Microwave and closely related Books.
However, the EMC Library contains much more than books. We also have sections on EMC Articles, EMC Application Notes, EMC Press releases and EMC & Safety Marks and Labels.

EMC Standards

EMC standards can help electrical and electronic manufacturers introduce the right testing procedures to ensure their products operate safely and effectively, maintaining full EMC. It is surprising, even to us, how complex EMC Standards can be.

All standards are created by International (eg IEC}, Regional (eg European) and National (eg Britain) committees. In many cases the International standard is “adopted”, without change by the Regional and National committees.

EMC standards are alloted into three primary groups – Commercial., Military and Aerospace.. Within these groups there are subgroups as follows:-

Commercial – In this group there are Generic Standards, Generic Emission standards, Generic Immunity standards, Environment standards, Functional Safety standards, Product/Product Family standards and finally some national standards from the USA.

Military & Aerospace.. – These standards are no less complex, however we know of no truly International standards in these fields (probably for obvious reasons.) Concerning Military Standards, since the USA is the major western power it is understandable that US Mil Stds dominate. In the Aerospace field there is a significant level of cooperation between the USA and Europe.
